Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-volume-manager
Placing a USB stick in the computer doesn't show the icon on the desktop for the stick. It seems to be fully detected otherwise. This is fresh install of Ubuntu 6.10 with a slightly customised kernel due to Dapper's issues with Core 2 Duo but I can try different kernels etc if need be.
