Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-driver-vesa
On my Lenovo T60, X11 gave me a completly distorted login with edgy.
Worked just fine on dapper, on edgy I had to switch to console (after fixing
the broken usplash, see #63558) and install fglrx.
The graphics card identifies itself as a "MOBILITY RADEON X1300 (M52 7149)".
