turns out that my resume now presents corrupt graphics! It was working perfectly in Hardy, after some debugging turns out that the key factor is the kernel. Up to date xorg, intel xorg driver and 2.6.26-4.11 = FAIL Same xorg, same intel and 2.6.24-16.30 = WIN Simple as that :). PD: By corrupt graphics I mean that screen is not refreshed, example the gnome-screensaver dialog does not appear unless you switch to a VT and then back to the X VT.
