Hello

I've seen exactly the same problem since upgrading to edgy from Dapper
(machine is a T43 IBM laptop). When the machine boots it complains that
the swap partition (in my case /dev/sda10) is not in the correct format,
formating using the command mkswap -v1 /dev/sda10 and swapon -a enables
swap. Under Dapper I was able to hibernate the machine and it would
recover, under edgy once I enable swap in the manner discribed above I
can suspend the machine but it will not recover, it just reboots.

Mark.
