Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nvidia-glx

Hi,
When I install the nvidia-glx driver package, it installes the whole i386
kernel. But Edgy installes the "generic" kernel by default. The nvidia is
installed, when I boot the generic kernel, I get no X. It is because
linux-restricted-modules-generic isn't installed, cause nvidia-glx depends only
on linux-restricted-modules-common.
I found out, that if I install the linux-restricted-modules-generic first, and
then the nvidia-glx, it doesn't require the i386 kernel any more.
This should be fixed as soon as possible I think, because some remain without
an X server, grub has more confusing entries for them, and the i386 takes up
space wich we don't use.

** Affects: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.17 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
