openSUSE has a patch at https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=241950 which fixes qemu to use /dev/bus/usb instead of /proc/bus/usb. It doesn't quite apply cleanly to current qemu, but it should be possible to port it without much effort. They may also have a newer version in the package itself.
If someone could get this cleaned up and submitted upstream, and we'll be able to cross qemu (and kvm) off the list of packages affected by this issue. ** Bug watch added: Novell/SUSE Bugzilla #241950 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=241950 ** Also affects: qemu (openSUSE) via https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=241950 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- Could not open /proc/bus/usb/devices https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/156085 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
