Thank you for your response. Installed kernel 2.6.24-19-generic. No Sound cards found. KRadio shows that red cross in the panel and shows an empty list of sound devices.
Installed linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24-19-generic. The soundcard is back again, but the issue remains. No matter what frequency is set, kradio always outputs the sound from television :( Tried the Desktop CD of Intrepid Ibex 8.10 Alpha 4. Had to install kradio and tvtime from multiverse repositories to match my current environment. First, everything worked fine (television sound in tvtime and radio sound in kradio). But after playing a bit with the programs (muting tvsound, changing television channels and radio stations, muting radio sound and so on), the issue came back.
