Remember the CCSM (CompizConfig Settings Manager)? You can also select 'General Settings' here, and type in the name of the font. (Copy this from the gcursor screen if you like).
The best cursor that I found is called 'Silver' and looks like 3D silver, beautifully animated metal cursors. I did follow instructions on installing this theme as the default theme a long time ago - and so never bothered to work too hard to have alternatives, but now I do sometimes want to get the lovely black 'Obsidian' cursors working - and the PolarCursor theme is nice too... Just typing in the name here does have an effect - but as I have nearly 2 hours left (at 12.8kb/sec) downloading I am not keen to go resetting my Xserver right now. If I remember, there's a fragmenting effect, where the cursor looks fine until it crosses borders and goes over other windows/titlebars etc. I have had up to 3 cursor themes overlapping before, right now I have an obsidian arrow here, and then a silver cursor on the desktop. Updating is also slow - to test this, open the settings manager, and type in DMZ- Black. Hit 'Enter' and see the cursor change, then take the cursor over the desktop, and then over another window. Right now I went back to my 'default' cursor (silver) but have a thick black 'Obsidian' text selector. -- gcursor doesn't change mouse cursor https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/138491 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
