** Attachment added: "cpuinfo.txt"

** Description changed:
Ubuntu 8.04, qemu 0.9.1-1ubuntu1.
I've got intrepid-desktop-i386.iso Alpha 4, MD5 is correct at
eb2f5e8b19041c4bf3f778b3c435a9fc. Trying to use qemu on this machine to
boot it is unsuccessful.
qemu -m 256 -cdrom intrepid-desktop-i386.iso
After choosing to run Ubuntu without affecting my hard disc I end up at
a busybox shell prompt. /casper.log contains
Unable to find a medium containing a live file system
And indeed, in /dev there's scd0 but no sr*. And /cdrom is just an
empty directory. Doing `mount -r -t iso9660 /dev/scd0 /cdrom' works
fine, I can see wubi.exe, etc. I had the same behaviour with Alpha 3.
Attempting the same on a friend's machine with the same version of
Ubuntu, qemu, and the Alpha 4 CD works. I suspect it may be to do with
my old CPU not having the virtualisation flags or subtle timing issues.
As I'm being asked if bugs I've reported are still present in Intrepid,
not being able to run it under qemu is a pain.
- I'm aware of bugs like #208246 but that was never resolved and I suspect
- this may be qemu-specific.
