the snd-hda-intel module gives messages, [ 3402.201978] hda_codec: Unknown model for ALC883, trying auto-probe from BIOS... [ 3422.264444] hda-intel: Invalid position buffer, using LPIB read method instead.
though none of these correspond with the timing of the death of pulseaudio, direct alsa output works fine too perhaps an alsa module issue, but the problem only seems to affect pulseaudio. i cant find any more relevant errors. Passing the model option to snd-hda-intel doesnt seem to change anything either. the chip is Realtek ALC883 8-channel hd audio codec on an asus m3a motherboard. -- pulseaudio crashes after a few minutes: memblock.c: Memory block too large for pool https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/258811 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
