Translations of firefox should be updated to translations compatible
with firefox-3.0.1
problem remains after:
sudo aptitute update
sudo aptitude reinstall language-pack-es-base
(version of language-pack-es-base: 1:8.10+20080527)
Now, after launching firefox, the browser denies to use translation
files and falls back to english
