I see this hasn't been resolved yet, and now innumerable people are complaining about poor software raid support in Dapper -> Edgy upgrades.
Having personally suffered from it and gotten around it by reinstalling, it's a shockingly poor way to release a distribution. Imagine the furore if Microsoft released an XP that failed to boot with Raid1 partitions made in 2k. Check out http://linux.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=06/10/28/239258 to see the bad press that it's getting. mdadm support is just one of them. -- Root on raid fails to boot https://launchpad.net/bugs/57607 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
