I meet the same problem when trying to install ubuntu-studio or mythbuntu through netboot on 8.04.1 version. Maybe this is due to the same cause as bug 66214 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tasksel/+bug/66214). I attach my syslog. Let me know about it.
