This is not a question. It is a request for a feature to be added to the default XTerm in Ubuntu. While I appreciate your prompt reply and alternative solutions, this certainly does not address the glaring lack of ability to save text in XTerm. Gnome users should not have to install another terminal application to be able to save history. File->Save to Document and Edit->Select All seem like they should be standard features.
Before posting this request as a bug I perused the questions answered for where to post new feature requests. There were a number of answers that said for minor issues file a bug report with [WISHLIST] in the title, which is what I did. I also created a brainstorm, but it is such a small feature that it is unlikely to get much attention. Besides, personally I feel that the lack of these features IS a bug, but I certainly would like to follow the correct channels to request the feature. -- Cannot Save XTerm Output [WISHLIST] https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/254700 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
