The best possible work around (that I have found) for this bug is to
install with the vesa drivers and then modify the default xorg.conf like
the following....
In the Device section add the line
Option "monitor-LVDS" "LVDS"
and setup your Monitor section to look like....
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "LVDS"
Option "Ignore" "True"
EndSection
** Attachment added: "xorg.conf"
