Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdebase

1. Insert a CD into the drive.
2. KDE will popup a dialog saying "A new medium has been detected" and that it
is, "Medium Type: Unmounted CD Writer"

As far as I can tell this is wrong. The new medium isn't an unmounted CD
writer, that's the drive (which in this case is actually a DVD drive and
not even a cd writer...). It should say Medium Type: CD-ROM, or ideally
the message should just be changed to, "You have inserted a CD. What
would you like to do?" Joe blow user is unlikely to know what KDE
programmers mean by 'medium.'

** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
