just a small fix to the description. All log files so far are from failed attempts with the ext. monitor connected. This one here is without the ext. monitor.

After a scrambled splash screen, the screen goes black. The problem does not to occur when the monitor is unplugged or connected to the laptop directly (instead of through the switch).
