I can confirm that the same is happening for me in a current edgy install: Browsing windows network through nautilus gives:
Couldn't display "smb:///workgroup" The proper uri should be smb://workgroup If I click reload then the correct icon appears and I can browse the workgroup but then the servers in the workgroup are unbrowseable: Couldn't display "smb://workgroup/SERVER" The proper uri should be smb://SERVER and again after I click reload all is fine. I have no idea how to debug this or even which program is responsible (nautilus/gnome-vfs/samba) - if anyone can give me any pointers I'd be willing to try..... -- SMB network browse failing https://launchpad.net/bugs/67289 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
