Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. The upstream xmms project is dead, no one wants to maintain this
package, because the source code is a mess. Due to a missing maintainer and its
bugs it was removed from the repository since Ubuntu 8.04 "Hardy Heron". So we
will not fix your bug. If you find someone who fixes this bug please reopen the
bug report and attach a patch file. This will probably not happen.
As alternative you can use audacious instead. It is an fork of xmms and is
actively developed.
