This symptom is not a JACK issue.  Firstly, make sure you're using at
least the 2.6.24-19-rt kernel available in hardy-security (or hardy-
updates); you may wish to try 2.6.24-21-rt from hardy-proposed, but
there's a duplicate symbol error for the ipw2200 driver that you need to
be aware of (prevents wireless from working - already known and fix
submitted).  Secondly, try renicing the jackd process to a "greedy"
priority.  Thirdly, be aware that wireless devices being enabled
significantly increases the number of interrupts being handled over a
given time, which contributes negatively to your xruns.
