The only solution I have found to rip DVD correctly is to find the movie aspect ratio (with mplayer dvd:// I can read it in console) and setting the acidrip scale option to this value. I have found moreover another problem: the "with" field cannot exceed 1000 so if your movie is greater than it you have to calculate the correct proportion (that in some circustances cannot be accurate)
