** Description changed:

  On approximately one reboot in every five, after upgrading to 6.10, there are 
no keyboard functions available. 
  The login screen appears, but I can't type in a username. 
  There is no console access via ctrl-alt-F1 either. 
  All I can do is reboot (via the mouse.)
  On successful boots there seems to be no instability, all appears normal. 
There was never any such problem for me with Dapper Drake.

reboot and a reboot which freezes the keyboard (the latter obtained via sshd.)
