Public bug reported:
My system is a Dell Optiplex GX270 connected to a wired 1Gbit network
thought the e1000 driver. I am using an up-to-date version of Ubuntu
Hardy.
I suspend to RAM but Network-Manager is unable to bring back the
network. At syslog it complains that "no dhcpoffers" were received but
if you open a terminal and do dhclient, the ip is obtained correctly.
Steps to reproduce on a Dell Optiplex GX270 with a e1000 driver with
Ubuntu Hardy:
1) Suspend the system.
2) Resume by pressing the power button.
3) Check the network (after typing the password to unblock your X session)
Expected result:
The network should be working.
Result:
The network DOES NOT work.
BUT if you do a "sudo dhclient" in a terminal window the network becomes
ready SO Networkmanager IS NOT DOING IT IN THE PROPER WAY.
