Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: f-spot
Starting a slideshow in F-Spot (only ~100 pictures) does not work correctly.
The pictures (2 megapixels) take forever to load (about 30 seconds) and the
transitions are extremely slow and nasty. The worst thing is, that the
slideshow cannot be quit. When I move the mouse around nothing happens.
There should be a little bar where I can quit fullscreen mode and pause the
slideshow, but the bar does not appear at all. Instead the screen flickers when
I move the mouse and as soon as I click somewhere F-Spot freezes. It is still
possible to force F-Spot to quit.
This happens with desktop effects enabled as well as without effects; I've also
tried the nv and nvidia driver.
System: Ubuntu 8.04.1
Machine: Pentium 4, 2 GHz, 512 MB RAM, NVIDIA GF 4 MX (OpenGL enabled with
proprietary driver)
Using f-spot:0.4.3.1-0ubuntu1
