I can see your point...it's just too bad Windows is the only O/S that supports pretty much all hardware (Win XP, forget Virusta) and that leaves us no choice but to use Windows because of it. This keeps a lot of ordinary folks/users (rather than engineer types) from being able to use Linux and making it more mainstream. That's really sad because Linux is far better..cheryl

If they backport too much stuff, it won't be stable (unchanging) and could easily cause regressions (break more things for other people), so they don't do it unless really necessary. -- Bit Torrent downloads, Transmission losing data on downloads https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/261143 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. -- Bit Torrent downloads, Transmission losing data on downloads https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/261143 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
