We should consider 5.07-1, it's as good as released and has all the xrandr fixes and would allow less Ubuntu delta, see bug #250625. I can take a shot at a merge, but only if somebody follows up with review and upload. I don't want to waste my time (again) with it being ignored or worked on in parallel.
