Public bug reported:
Usual boot (I have to start acpi-support manually due to Bug 261621)
leads to non-functional lid button.
However, starting Ubuntu in single user mode and manual starting acpi-
support and acpid leads to functional lid button.
So, I think that something interferes with acpi settings.
Feel free to ask for any other info as I'm really interested in fixing
this bug.
