Hello,
maybe this is related to this.
I tried the Live CD from Dapper and yesterday from Edgy.
The system boots and comes up (only til CLI but that's another problem). In
"/dev" I see entries for hda, hda1, ... 6 and sda. But no sda1, sda2, ...,
sda15. I have 2 HD-drives. Using 'fdisk -l' all partitions of hda and sda are
shown, but the command complains about the sda drive (from mind: does not look
like a partition table).
I can mount for example the partition hda6 as read-only.
Then I tried as root to create the missing sda entries in "/dev" using
"./MAKEDEV sda". This script reports in Dapper:
creating sda1
creating sda2
....
but in the end nothing is there. In Edgy it says it does something in .udev but
these entries do not say anything to me.
Is someone able to put some light in here?
Kind Regards,
Thomas
