Pedro - Thanks for looking into this issue -
per your requst I started the app at the command prompt by: myprompt> evolution & [1] 6556 myprompt> ---several lines of blank lines---then: evolution-shell-Message: Killing old version of evolution-data-server... BBDB spinning up... At this point the program seems to work fine, and the backend process does not quit. I'll test the gui startup later because if I close the term session so does Evolution in this mode. swidmer On Thu, 2008-08-21 at 18:28 +0000, Pedro Villavicencio wrote: > thanks for the report, can you run evolution from the command line and > paste the output in the report? also may you please attach your > ~/.xsession-errors file to the report? thanks. > > ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) > Importance: Undecided => Medium > Assignee: (unassigned) => Ubuntu Desktop Bugs (desktop-bugs) > Status: New => Incomplete > ** Attachment added: ".xsession-errors" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/17132888/.xsession-errors -- backend process continually fail so messages are not retrivable with out restarting evolution for each message or new headers https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/259792 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
