I changed the menu.lst file accordingly and ran into issues. 1. my choice for next boot went unnoticed and it was only after the SECOND time I booted that grub chose the correct option. 2. grub kept on trying to boot the same operating system instead of the default at the 3rd, 4th, 5th... boot attempt. it didn't go back to the default.
My reason for originally posting this bug was that this feature worked perfectly in breezy.
