Hi, My point wasn't wether the user would or not want to install mp3 support. It's the fact that even when the user does install mp3 support, he/she has to point audacity to a shared object which does not have the same filename (or indeed, the same file extension) requested by the program, and so that file is filtered from the file selection dialogue.
