Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

When I attempt to enter "=1e-6" in a cell (meaning 1.000 x 10^(-6)),
OpenOffice on Ubuntu Hardy rather uselessly asks me if instead I
intended to write "=E1 - 6".

This is clearly an over-agressive "autocorrect" action. Can it be
disabled by default on Ubuntu? Or fixed upstream?

This doesn't happen when I type just "1e-6" -- so it's something that's
activated by formulae containing exponentials. I find that in order to
'beat' this feature, I have to type stuff like "= val1 + val2 - 1e-06"
instead.

Cheers
JP
