Hello. I downloaded and installed this: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/pub/next/2.6.27-rc3/hardy/linux-image-2.6.27-1-generic_2.6.27-1.1_amd64.deb
It did (on occasion) get past the "loading manual drivers" message during boot, but it would make the system hang after the GDM greeter is supposed to be finished. I was able to drop out to a tty console (to check top - which was fine), and caught a console message from the ksoftirqd stating that "soft lockup - CPU#1 locked for 61 ms!". Unfortunately, this laptop if my work laptop - so I'm not able to perform too much testing. I'll try again after Alpha5 via the live CD. -- HP 6715b (bcm4312 rev02) booting with power cable attached makes "modprobe ssb" hang https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/227634 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
