Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy

when copying a folder of a certain size (for this example I'll use 10gb)
to another drive that only has 2gb free on it I get an error -

"Error while copying to /path/to/location

There is not enough space on the destination. Try to remove files to
make space.

show more details
There is 2.0 GB available, but 10.0 GB is required"

HERE IS THE PROBLEM THOUGH...

there is already an exact copy of the folder I'm trying to copy across,
all I want to do is overwrite/update the folders/files, so in reality
there may only be 2gb free on the drive I'm attempting to copy to, but
with the overwriting I won't go over that amount as the updated files
will only increase the size used by approx 200mb.

I feel this is something that needs to be addressed.

** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
