i use ubuntu 8.04. the /proc/cpuinfo is showing the wrong speed for my core2duo 
processor.
itried checking this while i was running the live cd, then it was showing 
2500mhz. but after installation when i checked i'm getting only 1596 mhz. would 
like to know why..
