Lenovo Thinkpad R61i
I have a Thinkpad R61i with an ALPS trackpoint/touchpad combo. The
touchpad is disabled in bios (because of a known bug preventing the
touchpad and trackpoint working properly together and because it is
annoying). I have configured the trackpoint as a generic mouse in
xorg.conf, including middle-button scrolling. This works fine. However
normal middle-click does not work properly. What happens is that it
works OK for a while and then stops. I have noticed this in sessions
involving a lot of middle-button scrolling, but I don't know whether
this causes the problem or not.
Putting the machine to sleep (suspend to RAM) and waking it again seems
to bring back middle-click functionality.
Simultaneous left- and right-click continue to act as middle-click even
when middle-click itself has ceased to work.
What ought to happen: Middle-clicking should not cease to work during
xsessions.
