Public bug reported:
With ubuntu 8.04LTS, during automatic weekly upgrade update-manager
reported that the downloaded kernel 2.6.24-19-generic (amd64) failed to
install because of corrupted tarball.
running sudo apt-get clean/update/upgrade then dpkg --configure -a
recovered the error. (redownloaded the tarball.)
