As far as I know this issue is wide spread to quite a few laptop setups and is
specific to 2.6.24-21.
* Marking as High Importance due to this fact
* Setting as Confirmed as this problem was happening to me since the -21
update.
Mind you I didn't realize I had -proposed enabled on this system and am
quite glad this issue wasn't passed to -updates
