Hi Andrew,
You'll need to enable the Intrepid repository in order to install the
2.6.27 kernel using something like synaptic.
Although I was glancing at X3's log file and noticed the following:
update-initramfs is disabled since running on a live CD
Failed to symbolic-link /boot/initrd.img-2.6.24-19-generic to initrd.img.
dpkg: error processing linux-image-2.6.24-19-generic (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 17
X3 - were you trying to update while running a LiveCD? If so, this
error and failure to update seems to make sense and be correct.
** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Incomplete
