Hi Andrew, Thanks for the clarification. So in order to test just the Intrepid kernel from a Hardy install you'd need to temporarily enable the Intrepid repos, install just the 2.6.27 kernel, and then disable the Intrepid repos. Do you know how to do this? I can give you instructions, but I'm wary of doing so in case any unforseen errors occur and you'd need to know how to recover your system. Let me know if you want to proceed. From your last comment it seems this is difficult to trigger and not a high cause of instability for you at the moment.
