As an Awn developer, i fail to see how Awn (or the GNOME main menu, for
that matter) is making your entire laptop screen flicker. If anything,
it seems like an X problem, if anything. If you could specifically
point to something Awn does that causes this behavior, e.g. when Awn is
started or stopped, that would be appreciated. If you cannot find
anything of this nature, feel free to set the status for Awn to
"Invalid".
In the future, please don't set the status to "in progress" if the
project has not a) confirmed the bug and b) is actually working on the
"problem". (Note that this policy may vary among projects - I am
specifically speaking for the Awn project in this case.)
