Since only Totem is installed by default, I thought one other player would be enough. Out of curiosity, what's so different with Mplayer and these two?
Both Sound juicer and Rhythmbox play the cd fully. I also tested 2 other cds with all four apps (Mplayer, Totem, those two), and got the same behavior - every one except Totem plays them correctly.
