Public bug reported:

on a livecd session with intrepid alpha 4 the nm-applet becomes invisible
when the b43 driver gets loaded
ps -eaf | grep nm-applet sais it is still running

the module was unloaded with rmmod before, because the firmware had to be
installed
against jockeys wish to restart the computer i unloaded the module and reloaded
it with modprobe

since then iwconfig shows the interface and ifconfig also makes no problems
dmesg sais:
[ 3244.954681] b43-phy1: Broadcom 4311 WLAN found
[ 3245.051644] phy1: Selected rate control algorithm 'pid'
[ 3276.447467] b43-phy2: Broadcom 4311 WLAN found
[ 3276.519321] phy2: Selected rate control algorithm 'pid'
[ 3276.524179] Broadcom 43xx driver loaded [ Features: PLR, Firmware-ID: FW13 ]

i did not switch the rfkill-button on(at least the led sais this)

i attach the daemon.log
