I'm re-opening this bug report again. Currently there is guidance-power-manager
4:4.1.0-0ubuntu3 installed. My laptop is a DELL Latitude D620, which has a
hotkey for suspend, hibernate and battery status. Guidance power manager only
reacts on the hibernate button with a suspend (it's called standby in the
configuration). It doesn't react on the suspend, nor on the battery status
button. If I press the suspend button, then I can see a event in "lshal -m",
but there is obviously no event via hal for the hibernate and battery status
button. I don't know if this is a guidance power manager problem or a hal
problem, so I will include both packages in this bug report.
BTW, kpowersave behaves as expected, so it's maybe still a guidance power
manager problem.
Pls advise how I can provide more debugging information.
