Public bug reported:
Actually this bug is universal: if in any given media player I play an
mkv file, and then play an avi file sometime after, everything crashes,
i.e., it's as if I had pushed Ctrl Alt Bkspc. I am unsure of any other
details. AVI files play normally until I play an mkv file. Also, the
same thing happens if I try to open a media file with a firefox plugin.
Ubuntu 8.10 is the distribution being used.
