Binary package hint: hal
Laptop, AC'97 compaticble SIS 650 architecture. Tried reloading
GStreamer plugins as the error when I click on the volume control
includes "the volume control did not find any elements and/or devices to
control, this means either that you do not have GStreamer plugins
installed or that you do not have a sound card configured" I in fact
have both installed and configured and has worked for a few years so
far, at least 6 months on Ubuntu alone.
