I'm having the same issue here since I've updated to intrepid
I'm running it on a macbook 1.1 and have compiz enabled
cpu: Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2500 @ 2.00GHz
gpu: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics
Controller (rev 03)
$ dpkg -l gnome-screensaver |awk {'print $2" "$3'}
gnome-screensaver 2.23.3-0ubuntu1
I have to hold the power button to shut down the machine. No
mouse/keyboard input seems to work. I don't think the system itself
hangs as it responds to ping. Haven't tried logging on remotely
though...
