Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: iat

When I ran iat on my terminal to convert an .mdf to .iso, the terminal
started filling up the screen with gibbrish (e.g. (*&[EMAIL
PROTECTED](!^&@($%^!@($%)
and then crashed. After pushing the power on button , the pc turned on
for a brief second then crashed. Only after I removed the power cable
was I able to boot properly. Again, I didn't run the package as root

** Affects: iat (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
