In the Yes, we have a machine (about 2.4 GHz, Nvidia graphics so Compiz and 3D games work). Beamer is also no problem, in the worst case we can even get two beamers. I'm slightly worried about getting the dual screen setup right, last time there were problems with overlay on the beamer screen, but we'll manage. It's important that: * IF someone needs to use their own laptop, they should make sure to try to get external screens working at 1024x768 as soon as they can. Maybe at home, or with some screen at the RP, before their talk. Last time we lost a lot of time because people wanted to hook up their lappies and the external screen didn't play along. * BUT if you have your presentation on a USB stick, make sure to be at the RP around 13:00 so you can transfer your files to the machine and test. > troubles last time... Absolutely fine, I have 6 parking cards and can get more if I know that more than 6 cars are coming. > @Daniel: you said you would sponsor the drinks, did you get in touch > with Ramon (or someone else) to get the drinks ordered and ready for > Saturday? We should get all drinks fresh at the Denner and Migros next door. FreeBeer is very nice, but last time about 20% of the beer went off before we could drink it, it only stays good for about 2 months because it contains no preservatives etc. So let's get our beer at the Denner this time, it's cheaper as well ;) > @blogers: would you mind put an add on your blog so we get some more > ads for Saturday? Arg, I totally forgot :( I put it on my work blogs, but not my own. I will try to get an extra machine that has a burner, and perhaps I can get a spindle (50 pcs) of CDs sponsored from the university. Sorry for the late reply and see you all there. I have to catch up to the rest of the RP discussion now, so if I made some statements that are redundant, sorry ;) - rca -- Ubuntu-ch mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-ch
