Hi All, OLPC Switzerland has launched a contest (see http://www.xo-contest.ch). We are looking for interesting projects in relation to the world-wide grassroot organization. An interesting idea, at least in my eyes, would be porting the sugar gui to ubuntu (suguntu?). I don't mean an emulation but a replacement of gnome rsp. kde for a "normal" x86 computer. As my knowledge of linux and ubuntu doesn't go that deep I can't estimate the work that has to be done. But what I can say is that we have the possibility to lend you an XO-laptop for the time of the work and that you could win one as well (possibly a 2.0 version with touchscreen!) If some of you are interested please don't hesitate to contact me or write a short abstract on our contest site.
Kind regards, Urs -- Ubuntu-ch mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-ch
